"content": "So, I want you to look at all those and help us bring this matter to an end. I would also wish to ask or urge you to consult with your colleague, the Speaker of the Senate. That is so that we have an amicable understating that, from now on, the limit of the Senate ends here and that of the National Assembly ends here. Then, we will not be seen as the ones who are holding the country to ransom. I am very glad that the courts can see the danger that the Senate and the governors want to put this country into. If the court was to entertain at all that case and start ruling by challenging the Appropriation Bill, you can be sure the whole country will have to shut down on the day that ruling is made. You cannot release money without the Appropriation Bill. We will not have salaries even for the courts. We will not have salaries for even this House to operate and pass the Finance Bill that is required to even operationalise the Appropriation Bill. So, there are so many risks that people are playing around with. It is all emanating from a misunderstanding of a very basic thing, that Article 218 cannot be read alone. It can only be read alongside Articles 93, 95 and 96."
