Senators, I wish to report to the Senate that, pursuant to Standing Order No.41 (3) and (4), I have received the following message from the Speaker of the National Assembly regarding the passage by the Assembly of the Division of Revenue (No.2) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.59 of 2019) - “PURSUANT to the provisions of Standing Orders 41 and 142 of the National Assembly Standing Orders, I hereby convey the following Message from the National Assembly- WHEREAS, The Division of Revenue (No.2) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.59 of 2019) was published vide Kenya Gazette Supplement No.119 of 16th July, 2019 to provide for the equitable division of revenue raised nationally between the national and county governments in the 2019/2020 Financial Year; AND WHEREAS, the National Assembly considered and passed the said Bill with amendments and in the form attached hereto on 25th July, 2019; The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate."
