"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the other issue is lifestyle. We were told that fast foods are one of the major causes of cancer. The economy of this country is turning out to be a consumption economy. How many fast-food restaurants do we have in this country? You will realise that all the American fast-food chains are represented in Kenya. Those restaurants might be employing some few Kenyans but we can do better than that. The presence of those fast-food restaurants means that we are accumulating more diseases. The Kshs20 billion that is being used in India for treatment of cancer patients can be used to create industries that can employ the people who are working in those restaurants. How did we allow this to happen in this country?"
