The fact that they are political in appointments clearly shows that at times they give jobs to people who do not have adequate level of leadership skills. A person from the medicine sector is at times picked to lead or be a CEO or a director of an industry in an area that he has never learnt. This is a challenge that we have in this country. Somebody who has never been in a leadership position is rewarded at times because of political ties. The reason the Mover of this Bill is pushing to have an Institute of Directors of Kenya is to equip the persons with leadership and management skills to run State corporations."
