However, we cannot throw out this Bill on the basis of it conflicting with other legislations. Those who are saying so have not given us specific legislations that are in conflict with this Bill. In any case, Section 172 of the Companies Act defines the duties of a director of a company. It does not provide mechanism of enforcing it. Now, this Bill will provide that mechanism of enforcing the Companies Act in terms of duties of directors."
