    "content": " Hon. Deputy Speaker, I join my colleagues in supporting the Statistics (Amendment) Bill. Contrary to what was happening in the past, we have now gone paperless. The census will be conducted using tablets. That way, we will have verified figures coming from the grassroots levels. Once the census has been conducted, it will not be fair to allow any party, regardless of their position, to interfere with the already collected figures from the ground. Indeed, this is the right time we are deliberating this issue because in the next one month, we will be in our constituencies to be counted and, of course, there are issues related to mobilisation. I support the Bill, but I will not be supporting any entity, regardless of its position – you can call it the board, the Director-General or any other party – to tamper with the census done at the grassroots level. Thank you."
