    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Let me conclude then with the words of the Chief Justice. He said:- “I know that there are matters before the court on the determination of the election date. The Supreme Court and the Constitutional and Human Rights Division of the High Court, will soon be making a determination on these matters.” Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, in those circumstances, we will be undermining the principle of separation of powers by not allowing the court that is mandated by the Constitution to be the final arbiter. As I conclude, the Constitution of Kenya is made by we, the people of Kenya. It is for us, the people of Kenya, and if the Cabinet, on behalf of the people of Kenya, wishes to introduce any amendments to this Constitution, let them come by way of a Sessional Paper that will be subjected to public participation and debate. For those reasons, I do urge that you rule that this attempt to read this Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill as inadmissible."
