A private education centre shall comply with and follow the curriculum education in a private approved by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). education centre The import of this is that the amendment seeks to ensure standards of education are adhered to in private education centres. The amendment aligns the provisions on standards of education in basic education institutions as contained in the Basic Education Act No.14 of 2013, which provides that a private institution shall comply and follow the curriculum as approved by the KICD."
