Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, the Second Schedule to the Bill be amended in Paragraph 1 by⎯ (a) deleting the word “two” appearing in sub-paragraph (1) and substituting therefor the word “three”; and, (b) deleting the word “vice-chairman” appearing in sub-paragraph (4) and substituting therefor the word “vice-chairperson”. This amendment seeks to ensure that the meetings of the Board of Management of Early Childhood Education Centres conform to the general practices as regards the frequency of meetings of boards. It also seeks to ensure uniformity in the use of the term “vice-chairperson” as used in the Second Schedule of the Bill."
