"content": "Most of them have gone under because of delayed payments. Imagine of a situation where the suppliers of Tuskys, Naivas, and Nakumatt, Quickmatt and sugar companies like Mumias deliver their products to the supermarkets. Even after the supermarkets have completely sold out their products, and they can physically see and check on the shelves that the products they supplied have been sold out, they are still told to go for payments after three or four months. That is unfair. This Bill provides for ways and means of protecting suppliers so that we will have in place programmes where the supermarkets and the abusers of buyer power can enter into payment agreements.
