    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker Sir for giving me this opportunity to give my Statement. I rise pursuant to Standing Order 51 (1)(b) to make a Statement on the activities of the Senate Standing Committee on Land, Environment and Natural Resources for the period commencing 1st July, 2019 to 30th September, 2019. Mr. Temporary Speaker, during the period under review, the Committee held a total of 11 meetings within the precincts of Parliament and nine sittings during site visits and report writing sessions. The Committee considered one legislative proposal on a Bill, pre-publication scrutiny of a Bill, adopted Petition reports--- I have a problem with my eyesight today. So, I call upon one of the Members of my Committee, Sen. Halake, to present this report to the House. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
