    "content": "Many times when I am having lemonade with Members of the National Assembly, they ask why the Senate should be having a Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations because they are convinced that defence is national Government function. I have told them not to look at the description of the Committee. This Committee does a lot of things. When Sen. Kihika as President of the Bureau of the Forum of Women Parliamentarians goes out there to do whatever she does, it is part of diplomacy which would then fit neatly within the mandate of that Committee that we call Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations."
