Wanjala used to call those people petite bourgeoisie when he was teaching us Land Law. I know that most people have read the book, ‘How Europe Underdeveloped Africa’ by Walter Rodney. That book came to mind when I was in New York last month where I saw very tall buildings. I wondered how those people got such mammoth wealth to develop such big cities. Those people stole our wealth, minerals and took our strong men though that does not mean that we are not strong. They put them in ships and exported them to their countries. Therefore, it is sad for this country. We keep on asking for compensation but my question is; why is it that the national Government has never seen it well to compensate? That is why I have a bone to chew with one of our Senators here, our Senate Minority Leader, who was also the Minister for the Ministry of Lands at a certain time. He should have put a policy---"
