    "content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I would also like to thank her for creating awareness on this issue. I did not think about the fact that we could have an alternative methodology for dispute resolution. She has also taught us a lot of the key players in this, and a lot of new terminologies, from ‘conciliators’ to ‘mediation process.’ Some of us who are not in the alternative dispute resolution space have also learned a lot. This is very important, given the cost effectiveness and also the issues of access to justice. Many people who need disputes resolved are largely unable to do so, because of the exorbitant costs related to legal fees and travel to courts of law. This is especially so in the rural areas, where the closest court of law, if it is the High Court or Court of Appeal, is several kilometers or hundreds of kilometers away from where they live and work."
