If there are measures which have been taken to interfere with that, we should get clarity on them. This Parliament does not act in vain. We budgeted the funds. The Chair of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs will confirm how much we had to reduce. Even most of the development budgets of the Judiciary in terms of our courts across the country were suspended. If we, as Parliament, went ahead and passed the Judiciary Fund Act and assisted the Judiciary as the delegated legislation authority to come up with the Judiciary Fund, can a direction go that this Parliament does not act in vain? All that Parliament did was in accord with the Constitution and should be respected."
