It is primarily for the purpose of implementing Article 31(c) and (d) of the Constitution of Kenya on the right to privacy. This Bill will also be very critical towards the path of becoming a digital economy. They say that data is the 21st Century oil of the digital economy. This Bill will be very crucial in our trade and economic engagement with the world."
