In fact, what is happening in Taita-Taveta County arose out of lack of respect between the two arms of the county government. It is not just Taita-Taveta County, but there are many counties where governors take county assemblies for granted. That should not be the case, because county assemblies have responsibilities of legislation and oversight at the county level."
