"content": "First, I am very positive about the issues of discipline that the amendments will bring and the responsibility that has been given to parties to ensure that discipline is maintained by the various candidates for them to be allowed to participate in elections. I have a number of reservations. I start my reservations from what the Committee has presented as special interest groups. I find a disconnect when you look at the Constitution at Articles 95 and 97 which talk of special interests and here, we are talking of special interest groups. That allows for a new dimension of definition. In the definition of special interest groups, about six categories have been identified where we have women, persons living with disabilities, youth, ethnic and other minorities and marginalised communities."
