    "content": "It is good to understand the current situation we are facing in marketing livestock and livestock products and it is also important to understand that even the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) deals with one aspect of livestock and its products. The truth of the matter is that issues regarding livestock are scattered in different institutions. We believe that by bringing them together, including the KMC will necessitate a centre where information will be available to livestock farmers. I believe livestock keeping can contribute not less than 30 per cent of the GDP as opposed to the current 12 per cent.
