    "content": "The joint committee further noted that the Government had facilitated due process. It is a matter that we wanted to keenly look into for degazettement of Chepyuk Phases II and III which included conducting public participation. There were barazas at the local level and meetings with the county and the national Government officials. We realise that, that was properly done. Approvals were sought from the KFS and also an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was done. This was extremely important to ensure that, as much as degazettement is being done, it does not interfere with biodiversity."
