    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, moving forward to Laikipia County, we had an interesting case where the county was not deducting withholding taxes, which is a clear violation of the law. This has happened in many other counties, where counties deduct taxes and statutory dues – like the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF), the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and income tax – but that money does not go to the recipients. This business of tax evasion and the crackdown we are seeing the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) carrying out very aggressively on private citizens, I want to invite them to start with the Government, particularly Government entities."
