    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to also add my voice in supporting the Motion by my sister, Sen. Sylvia Kasanga. It has been said by the Sen. for Homa Bay and Sen. for Kericho that Sen. Kasanga has brought very progressive Motions on the Floor of this House, and this is one of them. She will be remembered for the Motion on Establishment of Mental Health and Psycho- Social Support Centres at the county level, and the other day on setting standards for the construction and maintenance of roads in our counties. I want to congratulate and thank her for bringing this Motion on the Formation of Community Associations to take charge of forests across this country. Madam Temporary Speaker, this Motion seeks to bring communities at the centre of environmental conservation. I think that has been one of the most missing links in environmental conservation in this country. The conservation of the environment and preservation of our forests has been conducted in such a way that these are decisions taken in boardrooms in the cities and then implementation is supposed to take place in the rural settings.
