We will have one person nominated by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, one person nominated by the Kenya Livestock Marketing Council and the Chief Executive Officer who shall be an ex-officio member. If you look at the composition of the members of the board, it reflects expertise and Government involvement as far as the sector is concerned. The Chairperson shall be appointed by the President, but with the approval of the National Assembly so that he or she is accountable to the people’s representatives. That is critical."
