    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, people from South Rift are not insane to encroach into the forest. In fact, where I come from in Bomet County, we have Chepalungu Forest which nobody has ever interfered with. We are also surrounded by the Mau Forest in parts of Bomet and Kericho counties and no one has ever touched the trees. We know historically that those people were displaced. Most of the land in Nakuru County which belonged to the former Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) that they could have been given by the previous governments was rewarded to people who were in positions of power. Those people do not use the land up to this time. People are being chased from Mau Forest yet their land is being occupied by people who do not use it. That is an issue that has to be corrected with sobriety so that this perennial problem comes to an end."
