Members, before I guide the House on the specific amendments, let me put it on record that the proposed amendments by the Leader of the Majority Party are not part of those I isolated for guidance. The Leader of the Majority Party did submit his proposals to the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning which considered them in terms of the provisions of Article 114 (2) of the Constitution and recommended that the House may consider those amendments in the Committee of the whole House."
