Chair of the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning, I hope you have looked at the provisions of Article 36 of the Constitution on freedom of association. Specifically, Sub- Article (2) says that a person shall not be compelled to join an association of any kind. I hope you were advised on this particular provision and also on the requirement that you seem to be placing on employers, namely, the offence that you seem to be creating on those who will employ people who might not be members of this association. I hope you have taken that into consideration."
