"content": "However, I thank all the Members. I take the concern by Hon. Muchira, and that of Hon. K.J. of Dagoretti South, who spoke last time. They brought out the issue of discrimination. It was also brought up by Hon. Otiende Amollo; the issue of discrimination between men and women. I was trying to mirror it with what we already have today in existence under Section 129 of the Employment Act. As explained by Hon. Millie Odhiambo, there are also those natural gifts or roles that have been given to women who give birth. That is why they were given three months while men were given two weeks. This being an adoption process, we may look at equalising it because men and women can also adopt by law even when they are single. I have also received a memorandum from a law firm which thinks this Bill is discriminating against the single men and women in this country. Together with the legal team, we will see how best to link up all the proposals at the Third Stage."
