    "content": "This is a matter that my Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations has grappled with in the past. It is true that many of our officers go through a lot of stress. The officers are in an environment that if most us were put in, would not survive yet as a country for a long time, we have been unable to give officers serving in the disciplined forces the dignity and the kind of life that befits those who put their own lives on the line for Kenyans, be they military personnel or police officers. There are issues with the housing of officers in the disciplined forces because they are not to standard."
