"content": "The legal realm on other enabling statues that deals with employment and labour laws has not been mentioned, but it also needs to be amended. As suggested by the Mover of the Motion, the period will change from 60 to 65 years in the civil service and from 70 to 75 years in the realm of academia. This needs to be captured in other employment plethora of statutes. If causes of action in law are delayed or deemed not to run because of challenges, for example, physical disabilities or personal injuries which is normally three years, I do not see any problem if the period is extended by only five years. A five year extension is not asking for too much taking cognizant of the fact that persons with physical or mental challenges take quite a while to acclimatize to the environment. Any of us can we wake up tomorrow disabled because of attacks, accidents or act of God. Therefore, this Motion calls upon each and every one of us to support it fully."
