    "content": "I am glad that this Petition has come before the Senate at the right time. There are sections of that road which have already been tarmacked, but the NLC has not even issued award letters to persons affected by the project. Article 40 of the Constitution is very clear. The Government has a constitutional right to acquire private land for public use. When that happens, the Constitution and law requires it to promptly compensate land owners in full and according to market rates."
