"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. At the outset, I support this Motion, which has been brought by Hon. Tecla Tum. The cancer issue is very serious and it is really affecting Kenyans. I would like to urge my colleague, Hon. Tecla Tum, not to just look at a boy and a girl, but also look at everyone and include all types of cancers. The Government should make cancer treatment free. In case one is found with cancer at an early stage, the cost of treatment is cheap. I would also like to urge the national Government and the county governments to work together and ensure that all the hospitals in our country are well equipped with cancer screening machines and also medicines to treat the disease, to ensure that all Kenyans living in this country are safe and secure from this disease. We know that, as a country, we are losing many people. People are dying every day because of this killer disease. If we will not be able to take care of this, it will end up affecting each and every one of us. I believe it is good for the Government to invest a lot of money, especially in hospitals, to ensure that all the affected persons get good medical care."
