"content": "One of the interesting things is that as you do gaming activities, you will be expected to pay an advertisement tax and the proposed amount is about 35 per cent. That means that any time you advertise, there will be collection of tax money that will be used in this country to support other sectors of the economy. Engaging in gaming, in a way, would mean one will be supporting other economic activities like improvement of the health sector, education sector and infrastructure like roads and energy. That is important. Very few people mind about the tax component of gaming because of its addictive nature. People will engage in gaming activities without minding about how much tax they will pay. To some extent, you can categorise this as sin tax. The more you tax, the more you are able to collect. People will not care about the tax because of the addictive nature of the activity. This Bill is good. I want to urge my colleagues to support it as we move forward, so that we have a law that will regulate the gaming activities. With those remarks, I support. Thank you."
