Abdullswamad Nassir, I am aware that Article 93 establishes the Parliament of Kenya which shall consist of the National Assembly and the Senate, but for avoidance of doubt, Article 229(1) reads: “There shall be an Auditor-General who shall be nominated by the President and with the approval of the National Assembly, appointed by the President.” The usage of the word “Parliament” excites some people elsewhere. This is very clear. Approval is by the National Assembly not withstanding that the National Assembly is part of Parliament."
