    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Committee observed that the Ministry had the option to make special requests to the National Treasury to settle the awards and the amounts be included in a supplementary budget. Mr. Speaker, Sir, based on the observations, the Committee recommends as follows- (1) THAT the Government of Kenya, through the Ministry of Defence, should present the resolution of the Pending Bills Committee on the payment for Petition No.49 of 2012 within one month of the adoption of this Report by the House. (2) THAT the Government of Kenya, through the Ministry of Defence, honours the court orders and immediately settles the awards due to the petitioners plus costs and interest accrued following the date of judgment as provided. Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is now my pleasant duty, pursuant to Standing Order No.232(2), to present the Report of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations on the Petition on the Settlement of Awards to ex- Kenya Air Force officers and Servicemen."
