    "content": "Listening to stories of people who are intersex, I have noted that they have been discriminated upon. They have been denied basic documents such as birth certificates or a question mark is indicated in their birth certificates because it is not clear which genitalia the child has. Further, it is sad when they have to go through non-therapeutic surgery that is informed of other people’s opinion on their bodies without proper biological scientific background. It is really sad. Further to that, there is the issue of having to incur these expenses amounting to millions of shillings especially because these children are largely born from poor backgrounds. This is something that we need to take care of."
