Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, clause 9 of the Bill be amended by deleting sub-clause (1) and substituting therefor the following new sub-clause— “(1) There shall be a Director General who shall be the chief executive officer of the Authority appointed by the Board and whose terms and conditions of service shall be determined by the Board in the instrument of appointment or otherwise in writing from time to time.” The justification is to delete reference to commission. The committee resolved to rename that to authority. Thank you."
