They have been fighting the salaries of Members of Parliament and yet, the wage bill has been increasing. The salaries of Members of Parliament are stagnant. In fact, if you asked me because I served in the 10th, 11th and now the 12th Parliaments, and my colleagues like the Whip of the Majority party can attest to this, the salaries of Members of Parliament have been going down. But the wage bill has been increasing. So, what is happening? It is clear that the commissioners of the SRC do not know their work. The commissioners do not know their work because they contract everything. We have put them there on a permanent basis and yet, they hire consultants for every little work that is performed by that Commission."
