    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I would like to support the ratification of this Convention. As we look at the Report - I thank the Chair and the Committee - it is a very practical solution that would help us to address the key concerns that we have had not only with regards to how we would like to enhance our revenue collection, but most importantly, how we can address the very key matter of tax evasion and avoidance which has in a way always been a great challenge. We are aware, as other Members have indicated that we have had a situation in our country where we have a number of people who should ideally be leading in ensuring payment of taxes being the ones who evade and avoid paying taxes. They have had havens outside the country and thereby out of reach. Therefore, when we look at this Convention, then we see that it enables our country to come up with administrative cooperation that would allow exchange of information to ensure that we have assistance of recovery and very clear and practical ways of tax examination."
