    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this Bill. I want to support this Bill and thank the Senate for coming up with it. There is a saying I want to remind this House. It says: “Old people were young people before young people were people.” I picked that saying from an intellect somewhere. The Bill is so clear and very important. First of all, it provides the definition of an older person. That it is a person of the age of 60 and above. I am sure in this House there are very few people who are over 60 years old. That is why this Bill is timely. I have looked at the objectives of this Bill and they are quite clear. One of the fundamental objectives which is highlighted is to combat the abuse of older members of the society. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
