    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, on matters pertaining to women and their involvement in politics, the meeting noted that the Millennium Development Goals had sought to reduce poverty and have the number of people earning less than a dollar a day by the year 2015. Although these goals are quite ambitious, they are not sufficient to eliminate poverty worldwide. Women parliamentarians were, therefore, urged to be at the forefront of preaching peace and fostering all forms of peace initiatives in their countries."
