Temporary Deputy Chairperson, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 6 of the Bill be amended— (a) in sub-clause (1) — (ii) in paragraph (g) by deleting the words “Kenya Livestock Marketing Council” and substituting therefor the words “association representing livestock marketing interests of producers”. Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairperson, Clause 6 (1) (f) speaks of the use of the word “association representing livestock marketing interests of producers”. It will not necessitate amendments to the Act if enacted since it will apply to an umbrella body by whatever name it will have. So, this is basically tied to Sub-Clause (i) as well."
