    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I rise to support this Business Laws (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.80 of 2019). As a Committee, we were given the Kenya Information and Communications Act (KICA), 1998 to look at Clause 83B. When we met the Ministry and the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), they were all in agreement that we need to amend the Act to take into account electronic signatures. In the recent years, there has been a general widespread use of electronic means of communication including electronic transactions for global trade.
