"content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. Let me speak directly on the special needs of children in our schools. The Constitution clearly stipulates that every child has a right to education. When I was the Minister for Education, we developed Special Needs Policy. What requires to be done is to translate the Policy into action. Action means provision for students who are challenged in many ways. They could be physically, mentally, visually or auditory challenged. In fact, some could go to normal schools like normal children without any difficulty. However, there are those with special difficulty who require special or personal attention. Therefore, they need attendance."
