Before I issue my Statement, I join you in welcoming the beautiful girls from Murang’a County and wish them the best as they continue to learn. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I had promised the House that I would report back on the issue of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in the country. I have a Statement pursuant to Standing Order 51(1) of the Senate Standing Orders, relating to a matter for which my Committee is responsible. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order 51(1) to make a Statement on an issue for which the Committee is responsible, namely the inquiry by the Committee into extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in Kenya."
