"content": "brought based on the research that was done particularly by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, we found that we sometimes bring our DNA. Unfortunately, currently in Kenya we need to acknowledge that we have lost the national ethos. There is a sense that because of the manner in which public resources are distributed or are perceived to be distributed, we tend, as Hon. (Dr.) Nyikal had said earlier, to see ourselves more from the dimension of our communities instead of seeing ourselves from the perspective of Kenya. This is a matter of concern at times when we debate in Committees. For example, if you come with statistics ranking who we have in what positions in public universities, parastatals and commissions, you will find Members and general stakeholders questioning the researcher and saying, if this is the result can they know how the research was done and why."
