    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to support this Statement. As my colleagues have stated, this is a very worrying situation. Yesterday at the airport, the members of staff at the airport were taken by surprise that they did not know what to do when the plane from China landed. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I feel that we are not ready for such a pandemic in this country. I was the Minister for Public Health for five years. So, I know a little bit about that Ministry. To begin with, I do not think we can handle large numbers in case of outbreak of the disease. Therefore, as a country, we must do everything to prevent the disease from entering the country. That is the best way to deal with it. I also want to add my voice by thanking Sen. Olekina for this Statement. Since we have stopped our planes from going to China because we were concerned, I do not see why we should allow direct flights especially from the said province because it is The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
