    "content": "have far-reaching consequences, not only for the recipients themselves, but for the families, communities and the wider society. Ensuring effective and dependable supply of safe blood and blood products is an important public heath responsibility of every government, yet the Government support for blood transfusion services in the country is inadequate. There is clearly an increased demand for a safe supply and blood transfusion service in this country. As a result, I urge the Government to improve and strengthen the procurement, supply, processing, distribution and surveillance systems for blood transfusion, in order to save many lives that are lost due to lack of blood in our hospitals.
