I rise to ask this Question to the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries: (i) When will the outstanding arrears owed to sugarcane farmers who delivered cane to Sony Sugar factory be paid, including other suppliers for the goods and services rendered to the factory? (ii) When will the management of the company pay workers and employees considering that they have not been paid for over six months? (iii)What measures has the Ministry put in place to ensure that plant maintenance is carried out regularly on the said factory?
