In the past, there have been no coordinated and harmonised efforts to mainstream the youth agenda in the country. Despite the effort as well as increase in the agencies dealing with the youth, problems facing the young people have continued to worsen. The situation has been attributed to lack of a comprehensive policy to provide a blueprint for the development of young persons."
