    "content": "Hon. Deputy Speaker, I have looked at the proposed amendments and one of the key objectives was to depoliticise the NYC. When we look at the way we used to elect the members, most of us had to seek support from our political parties and leaders. That was not the right way to do it. For you to become a member, you had to lobby for resources from the local leaders, including the Members of Parliament. This way, we are going to have a competitive process of recruiting the right people to run the NYC. So, I support this based on that."
